Editorial board
The editors who assess manuscripts for the International Journal of Negative Results, with the affiliations and research interests recorded for each.
Each entry gives the editor's affiliation, research interests and qualifications as recorded on their profile, with an ORCID iD where one is on record. Selecting a name or portrait opens the full profile.
How editors handle a manuscript is summarized below. The responsibilities the board works to are set out on For Editors.

How the board works
The same sequence applies to every manuscript, whoever submits it and however it arrives.
Screening
All submissions undergo initial editorial screening. Manuscripts that meet the journal's scope and minimum requirements proceed to independent peer review.
Review
Single-blind by default; double-blind review is available on request. Manuscripts that proceed to external peer review are normally evaluated by at least two independent subject-matter experts. When double-blind review is requested, editors must ensure that author-identifying information is not shared with reviewers.
Decision
Editorial decisions are based on scope, scientific quality, methodological rigor, ethical compliance, reporting quality, and relevance to the journal. They remain independent of fees, services, memberships, and editorial or reviewing roles.
Conflicts
An editor who has a competing interest in a manuscript passes it to another editor, and their own submissions are handled independently.
The full framework is on Editorial Policies, and reviewer-facing guidance on For Reviewers.
Joining the board
Researchers in any scientific discipline who work with null, negative, non-confirmatory or inconclusive findings, including, for example, the biomedical and life sciences, the physical and chemical sciences, the computational and data sciences, or the environmental and earth sciences, can register through the journal's editor registration page to be considered for the board, or through the reviewer registration page to review for the journal.
Researchers may also write to the editorial office at [email protected] with their subject area and methods, and an ORCID iD where available.
Serving as an editor or reviewer confers no advantage in the review of that person's own submissions, which are assessed on the same criteria as any other.
Submission routes

Assisted route
Authors must use only one submission route for the same manuscript.
