Reason for Retraction

This notice is issued by the Editor-in-Chief on behalf of the Journal of Skin Cancer Epidemiology (Open Access Pub).

Citation of retracted article: Samia Ahmed Kamal (2020) Non-Surgical Removal of Basal Cell Carcinoma by Apis mellifera L Venom. Journal of Skin Cancer Epidemiology 1(1):1–15. Published 23 December 2020. URL: https://openaccesspub.org/skin-cancer-epidemiology/article/1539.

Reason for retraction: Following an editorial investigation, we confirmed redundant (duplicate) publication. A substantially similar article by the same author was previously published in Clinical Medical Reviews and Reports on 10 December 2020: Samia A. Kamal. Nonsurgical Removal of Basal Cell Carcinoma by Apis Mellifera L Venom. 2(9); DOI: 10.31579/26908794/056. The earlier publication is the version of record; the JSCE article did not disclose prior publication or meet the criteria for acceptable secondary publication.

Process: The investigation followed COPE guidance for redundant publication. The corresponding author and the editor of the other journal were notified and given the opportunity to respond prior to this decision. The Editor-in-Chief determined that retraction is required to correct the scholarly record.

Record status: The retracted article remains available to maintain the scholarly record and is clearly marked RETRACTED on the HTML and PDF. This notice links to the article, and the article links to this notice. The article’s openlicense terms remain unchanged.

Approvals: Approved by the Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Skin Cancer Epidemiology.

Date of retraction: 20 December 2021.
