Submit your neuroscience and neurology research to JNRT
There is no submission fee, and accepted articles are published open access with a permanent Crossref DOI. Choose one of the submission routes below. Authors must use only one submission route for the same manuscript.
Choose one submission route
All routes lead to the same editorial assessment and independent peer review. Authors must use only one submission route for the same manuscript.
ManuscriptZone
The publisher's online editorial and peer-review system, with an author account for tracking each submission.
- Step-by-step online submission
- Status tracking from submission to decision
- Direct access to reviewer comments and editor feedback
- Secure document management
Simple manuscript submission form
Alternative route: a single-page form for authors who prefer not to create an account.
- One-page form, no registration
- Direct manuscript file upload
- Submission confirmation by email
Assisted route: authors may also submit by email to the editorial office at [email protected], which also answers questions before submission. Each submission is acknowledged and screened by the editorial office before peer review.
Have these ready
A complete submission helps editorial screening proceed without delay. Full detail is in the Instructions for Authors.
JNRT publishes Original research, Review, Systematic review and meta-analysis, Case report (including short case series), Short communication, Brief report, Study protocol, Methodology, Perspective, Letter to the Editor and Commentary. Editorials are commissioned by the editors.

- A short cover letter
- Ethics approval and consent statements where applicable, including animal-ethics committee approval (committee name and reference number) for animal research
- Where applicable, the reporting guideline for your design, such as CONSORT, STROBE, PRISMA, SPIRIT, CARE or ARRIVE

Manuscript withdrawal. Authors should contact the editorial office promptly and wait for written confirmation before submitting the work elsewhere. Manuscripts withdrawn within 3 days of submission are not subject to a withdrawal charge. Manuscripts withdrawn more than 3 days after submission incur a withdrawal charge equal to 30% of the journal's APC. For JNRT, 30% of the APC amounts to USD 630. Authors must receive official withdrawal confirmation before submitting the manuscript to another journal.

Open access with a DOI
After acceptance the APC is invoiced, and the article is published open access with a permanent DOI.
Charges, review and access

No submission or review fee. The single article processing charge of USD 2,100 is invoiced after acceptance. Fee-relief inquiries are considered case by case; contact the editorial office before or at submission. Withdrawal after submission is subject to the journal's withdrawal policy.

Immediate open access under CC BY 4.0 with a permanent Crossref DOI. Authors keep copyright, and articles are free to read.
Discovery
JNRT (ISSN 2470-5020) assigns every article a permanent Crossref DOI. Crossref DOI registration and open metadata support discovery in scholarly search services.

- Clinical neurology: stroke and cerebrovascular disease, epilepsy, movement disorders and neurodegeneration
- Neuroimmunology, neuro-oncology and pediatric neurology: multiple sclerosis and other immune-mediated disease, tumors of the nervous system, and childhood neurological disorders
- Neuroscience and translational research: molecular and cellular neuroscience, neural circuits and electrophysiology
- Neuroimaging and diagnostics: structural and functional MRI, connectivity analysis, prognostic biomarkers
- Therapeutics and rehabilitation: neuropharmacology, device therapies and neurosurgical studies
- Neurotechnology and basic neuroscience: neurotechnology, systems and computational neuroscience, and laboratory and animal-model investigations
